Editorial

I am an NCTJ-qualified editor and writer with more than a decade of experience in digital and print newsrooms.

I’ve produced and edited coverage of major global stories, from elections in the UK and US, conflicts in Europe and the Middle East, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan and military coups across West Africa. At BFBS, I’ve brought in exclusive stories uncovering scam ads targeting veterans, sexual abuse in Kenya and the closure of cadet organisations.

I’ve commissioned and edited features and investigations on topics of societal significance, from the gamification of warfare, to online information integrity and health misinformation.

I also created The Debrief, a newsletter which shines a light on underreported stories with significant regional or global impact. We covered topics from political instability across South America, to climate-related economic impacts in Europe, and a manufacturing crisis looming as a result of a military coup in West Africa.

In 2024, I was consulted by the media regulator Impress as a talking head for a new university-level course on media ethics.
