Leadership
I have led editorial teams at organisations from startups to public broadcasters. From managing and mentoring reporters and editors on a daily basis, to defining and executing strategic projects, I’m guided by clarity and pragmatism to achieve results.
I have defined and implemented an original content strategy at BFBS, leading my team to find unique lines of enquiry for exclusive stories as well as generating original angles
I am also the departmental lead for AI transformation. I’ve developed AI best practices and safety guardrails for a department of 40+ people, and in 2025, led a workshop showcasing AI tools and providing inspiration for workflow integration.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked collaboratively with remote product, technology, marketing and sales teams across multiple time zones to develop new features and improve editorial tools.

I’m passionate about investing in the next generation of editorial talent.
In every editorial team I have led, I’ve worked to empower people with additional practical and personal skills through individual and group training sessions.
At Factal, I launched and oversaw an editorial internship programme that welcomed applicants from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented within journalism. Many of the candidates I hired went on to permanent roles within the company or elsewhere within journalism.
In 2026, I’m taking part in the Women in Journalism mentoring programme, both as a mentor and mentee.
